Epcot Dia de Muertos

We absolutely love visiting Mexico at Epcot and if you are wondering what the painted skulls and skeleton figures are all about, today we find ourselves celebrating the Day of the Dead. Not to be confused with Halloween, the two annual events differ greatly in traditions and theme. The Day of the Dead festivities unfold over two days with an explosion of color and life-affirming joy with the purpose to demonstrate love and respect for the deceased. So now you know why,as you step in to the Mexican pavillon, you come face to face with The Bridal Couple who symbolize that love will endure long after death. You’ll be relieved that there are still lots of sombreros, traditional ceramics and musical instruments to look at and purchase. Sample culinary delights at La Hacienda and Cantina de San Angel restaurants and age permitting enjoy specialty Margaritas and Tequila! Well worth a visit with the Gran Fiesta boat tour a delightful added bonus.
